    Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing global health threat, making the need for new antibiotics more urgent than ever. This review explores recent advancements in antibiotic development while addressing the scientific, economic, and regulatory barriers that slow progress. It emphasizes the importance of innovation, policy changes, and responsible antibiotic use in the fight against resistance. A well-coordinated, multifaceted approach is essential to ensure that effective treatments remain available in the future. However, significant challenges still stand in the way.
