How COVID-19 Affected Newly Discovered Cases of COPD in Three Industrial Regions of Kazakhstan

Introduction: In the coming decades, COPD will take the 5th place among the leading causes of disability and already ranks 3rd among the causes of death. Approximately 384 million people worldwide suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and it is estimated that more than half of patients with COPD may be undiagnosed. Aim: To investigate the prevalence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Kazakhstan and if COPD-19 affected detection of new cases of COPD in industrial regions of Kazakhstan.
