Neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease (AD), pose an unprecedented threat to global healthcare systems and represent a mounting financial burden on modern society. Current projections indicate costs exceeding $2 trillion globally by 2030, with devastating implications for healthcare infrastructure and societal welfare. Leading economists and healthcare experts warn that, if left unchecked, Alzheimer’s will eventually bankrupt our society—a stark reality driven by the exponential growth in cases and the astronomical costs of late-stage care.
