    This study examines the comparative impact of traditional and modern asset management practices on livelihood sustainability in the Guji communities of Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. The research aims to explore the characteristics and components of asset management practices in the Guji communities, as well as their contributions to economic stability, social cohesion, environmental stewardship, and cultural preservation. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative data collection through interviews, focus group discussions, as well as quantitative data collection through surveys questions. The study included a total of 384 participants from the Guji communities.
