Integrative Approaches to Endometriosis Management: The Role of PM&R and Pain Management

Endometriosis, a prevalent yet enigmatic condition affecting women of reproductive age, manifests as the ectopic growth of endometrial-like tissue beyond the confines of the uterus. Despite its benign nature, endometriosis presents as a chronic and often debilitating disease, marked by symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, chronic pelvic pain, and infertility. While retrograde menstruation stands as one implicated mechanism, the full etiology remains elusive. Endometriosis exerts a toll on the lives of affected individuals, impairing both quality of life and productivity.
