Aims and Scope

Journal DOI: 10.33140/OAJDGH

Open Access Journal of Disease and Global Health is an international peer reviewed open access journal that publishes scholarly research related to human diseases, public health systems, epidemiology, global health challenges, and medical interventions aimed at improving health outcomes across populations. The journal provides an academic forum for clinicians, epidemiologists, biomedical researchers, healthcare professionals, public health experts, and policy specialists working to understand disease patterns, healthcare delivery systems, and strategies for disease prevention and management.

The journal considers manuscripts that investigate the biological mechanisms of diseases, clinical management approaches, epidemiological patterns, health system responses, and global health initiatives addressing both communicable and non-communicable diseases. Research addressing healthcare access, disease surveillance, prevention strategies, healthcare policy development, and population health improvement is appropriate for publication.

Open Access Journal of Disease and Global Health welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, review articles, clinical studies, epidemiological investigations, public health analyses, case reports, and policy-related research that contribute to understanding diseases and improving global health outcomes.

Infectious Diseases and Disease Control

The journal publishes studies addressing infectious disease mechanisms, pathogen transmission, disease outbreaks, and prevention strategies. Research related to viral diseases, bacterial infections, parasitic diseases, fungal infections, zoonotic diseases, and emerging infectious diseases is appropriate for submission.

Studies examining disease surveillance systems, outbreak investigation methods, vaccination programs, antimicrobial resistance, infection control practices, and public health interventions for disease prevention are also considered.

Non-communicable Diseases and Chronic Health Conditions

Research addressing chronic diseases and long-term health conditions affecting populations worldwide is within the scope of the journal. Studies examining cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, metabolic diseases, and autoimmune conditions are welcomed.

Investigations related to lifestyle risk factors, behavioural health patterns, genetic susceptibility, environmental influences, and prevention strategies for chronic diseases are also appropriate.

Epidemiology and Population Health

The journal welcomes epidemiological research that examines disease distribution, determinants of health, population-level health trends, and risk factors influencing disease development. Studies using cohort studies, case-control studies, cross-sectional studies, and population-based surveys are appropriate.

Research examining health indicators, demographic patterns of disease, health inequalities, and social determinants of health is also considered.

Global Health Systems and Healthcare Delivery

Research related to healthcare systems, healthcare access, health policy development, health service delivery, and healthcare management is appropriate for publication. Studies examining healthcare infrastructure, medical workforce development, health financing systems, and health system resilience are within the scope of the journal.

Investigations addressing primary healthcare programs, community health initiatives, maternal and child health services, and healthcare system responses to disease outbreaks are encouraged.

Preventive Medicine and Public Health Interventions

The journal considers research examining disease prevention programs, vaccination strategies, health promotion initiatives, nutrition programs, environmental health interventions, and community health education.

Studies focusing on screening programs, early disease detection strategies, risk reduction initiatives, and population-based prevention measures are relevant to the journal.

Article Types

Open Access Journal of Disease and Global Health publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, review papers, epidemiological investigations, clinical research studies, case reports, policy analyses, public health reports, short communications, perspectives, and conference proceedings related to disease research and global health studies.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that present well-designed epidemiological investigations, clinical observations, public health analyses, or policy evaluations that contribute to improved understanding of diseases and global health systems.
