Biography
Dr Borriello completed her PhD at the age of 28 years from the University of Campania ?L. Vanvitelli?, Naples, and postdoctoral studies at Institute of Food Sciences, National Council of Research (ISA-CNR) in Avellino. She is Assistant Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology at Dept. of Precision Medicine, University of Campania. Her research work has always been about the study of Advanced Glycation Ends Product (AGEs) and their deleterious effects both on protein structures and RAGE-mediated toxicity. Nowadays, her research interests are focused on the development of "lab-on-a-chip" devices for detection of biomarkers associated to chronic diseases, including cytokines and AGEs.
