Energy is Becoming Data: A Business Perspective

The future of energy distribution will increasingly depend on data rather than electrons, as already noted in recent industrial analyses and European policy documents. The progressive digitalization of electrical networks, the rapid diffusion of distributed generation and the emergence of new forms of energy intelligence are reshaping the business foundations of utilities. Energy has historically been managed as a physical commodity, transported across hierarchical infrastructures and controlled through traditional SCADA logic.
