The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Maturity Level in the Egyptian Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Industry

This paper investigates the Maturity level of applying BIM in the Egyptian construction industry. Despite the limited researches to measure BIM maturity in the Egyptian AEC environment, this study demonstrates practical operations of BIM in Construction Projects in Egypt. A methodical frame was adopted to study the most common BIM maturity models in particular; the models were derived from literature review of relevant researches worldwide. This study concentrated on the idea of maturity not the capability. Therefore, only maturity models were considered. The Capability is on the organization scale, while maturity is concerned with the project scale.
