Fetal Valproate Syndrome: A Case Report

Background: Fetal Valproate Syndrome (FVS) results from prenatal exposure to valproic acid (VPA).
Case characteristics: A four year old female child presented with facial dysmorphism and features of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She had in-utero exposure to valproic acid (VPA).
Message: VPA to be avoided in pregnancy and in Dysmorphism or ASD children maternal anti- convulsant drug history must be taken.
