Anesthetic Monitoring

Patient and equipment monitoring is used to titrate administration of anesthetic medication, to detect physiologic perturbations and allow intervention before the patient suffers harm, and to detect and correct equipment malfunction. This topic will discuss the basic patient monitors used during anesthesia.
