Biography
Ross Colquhoun, D H Sc, M App Sc (Neuroscience), B Sc (Hons) Ross Colquhoun, researcher and author has for many years worked as a writer and editor and previously as a Clinical Health Psychologist doing assessments and developing treatment plans for those suffering from drug use disorders, brain injury and mental health disorders and as a university lecturer. He is currently a Senior Consultant for Chinese Culture Translation and Studies Support Network (CCTSS), a platform co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Beijing Language and Culture University and has recently edited 18 books, on aspects of Chinese culture, including collections of poems and engineering papers, mainly concerning AI and Robotics. From 2015 to 2019 he was lecturing at Nankai and Tianjin Universities teaching Behavioural Medicine and English and Academic Writing among other subjects and he was the senior editor of the Tianjin University English-language website, editing over 1000 articles covering a range of subjects. He has published many research articles, concerning a variety of subjects, mainly on the use of naltrexone implants and support services in the treatment of opioid use disorder and the books: ?Is Dementia and Bigger Word than Cancer" (2010), ?Dementia and You? (English edition), (2015); ?Dementia and You? (Chinese language edition), (2017); and four books of ?Traditional Chinese Stories?, (2017). He has co-authored two books with Professor Wang Ronghua, ? Poverty Alleviation in China: A Modern-Day Wonder? and ?Insights and Observations on the Thirteen Confucian Classics?, which have just been published. He recently contributed to and edited the 1500 page, two-volume ?One Hundred Icons of Chinese Revolutionary Art and Literature?. More recently he completed writing a lengthy review of opioid treatment titled A Comparative Study of the Use of Methadone and Naltrexone in the Treatment of Opioid Dependency and his memoir of his many friendships, teaching and travelling to many historical and cultural sites in China, ?My Impressions of China in China? published by New Classic Press. It has just been translated into Chinese and will be published shortly
